alfbailey 4 Posted November 17, 2010 The long exposure and the grey tones add a great deal to this image, but of course the contrasting sharpness of the "water tower" and steps against the softer sky and sea are what really make it fly!Excellent shot! 7Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

AJHingel 127 Posted November 17, 2010 Denis, I'm among those that are mostly not impressed by the blurring effect of long exposures. We know it and have seen it before. This being said the scene is indeed very attractive and with great potentialities in good hands like yours. My problem with the blurring of the water in this case is mainly because of the contrast between the sky and the water becomes almost non-existing: the same grey tones and almost contrast free texture. Had the water been kept somewhat more natural you would in my eyes have had an even better photo with some variance between the upper and lower part of the scene.A smaller question concerns the stones in the front. Personally I would have kept them to a minimum not to break the fragile equilibrium between the softer parts of the scene and the forefront. A personal choice of course. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted November 18, 2010 It is a beautiful image with a wonderful mood. There is a wonderful sense of other worldliness. Nicely done. Dan Link to comment
denis grzetic 0 Posted November 21, 2010 Thank you all again...Anders-i wish i have more time but spending there some time with long exposures cost me because i have to run away because of heavy rain...for sure i will try much more variants of the same motive...it is not very far away from my home...this is probably a record tide that i see on this place ...Thank you again for very constructive comment...
