dd_toth 0 Posted November 15, 2010 Are you kidding me! This is just breathtaking. I love the Latest Image for Critique. I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't refreshed the page. Beautifully exposed. I can only imagine what it was like being there in that serene moment. Fantastic capture! Link to comment
lalit 0 Posted November 16, 2010 Its very bold to include the tree at the center, but imho it is much too dominating over the rest of the wonderful light and landscape. I would also like to see if there is any vertical composition. Especially those rocky cliff are to be given little more significance.Neverthless you have captured a wonderful light.Best+Lalit Link to comment

gaule 0 Posted November 16, 2010 The image gives a very attractive, plunging view into a beautiful landscape. I, too, am a little undecided about the placing of the tree in the composition. I can see why you would wish to have it there, at the centre of the 'V' formed by the mountain slopes, but it does tend to check the observer's view almost immediately and hinder it from going further. At the same time, however, the individuality of the tree adds interest to what would otherwise be, all in all, a more classic and perhaps less interesting approach to the scene. Link to comment
wenland 1 Posted November 16, 2010 Lovely picture. From Czech Republic, Stolovy Hory ? :-) Link to comment

martas 0 Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks everyone for your comments. I put the tree in the middle because in my opinion, that was the best composition I could have come up with :)Waldemar Szaraniec: It is in the Bohemian Switzerland ;-) Link to comment
camilo.margeli 1 Posted November 21, 2010 Very nice light, mainly over the succession of mountains. I wish that the tree was less centred to see the way between the mountains. Link to comment
scottdonnellan 1 Posted November 28, 2010 D.NG! that's a keeper for sure, nicely done. Link to comment
johne37179 29 Posted January 4, 2012 Wonderful opportunity. I think I would have moved the tree from the center to a third-point. Or,I would have made the tree the focus of a vertical framing. Link to comment
starvy 7 Posted September 5, 2013 Lovely composition. The remoteness of the scene almost makes me think of a symbolic reference to the tree of knowledge. Link to comment
