Her eyes are smiling even though her mouth is not.I see that you are using a single light to illuminate her. And possibly a high placed light for the background that just touches the top of her head. Perhaps more than one light and studio type lighting would give you a challenge you would enjoy. It becomes all about the shadows.Jerry Link to comment

robiek 0 Posted November 15, 2010 Thank you for your constructive comments.The model is facing the room window which floods daylight, the high (4m) ceiling (spot)lights are on reflecting some light from the walls...the rest is TMAX400 and a slightly adjusted scan of the print.I only photograph in "surrounding darkness" a challenge I am far from mastering...
