gungajim 75 Posted November 13, 2010 A think a Jewish Drummer Lady is a step up from a Christian Little Drummer Boy!. Wonderful expression. GJ Link to comment
hannes_ct 0 Posted November 13, 2010 This image of the drummer caught my eye scrolling down the page. I look at images not with a deadly critical eye. I look for the IMPACT image. The image that holds my attention long enough to actually open it, and look at it again, and again. This is one of those. Very powerful. The out of focus background, and the mono, adds to the drama. Stunning. Link to comment
jacobeliana 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Meir, I particularly like that this is not a typical "smile for the camera" shot. It conveys a realism lacking in posed shots. My only wish would be to have the top of her head included. Nicely done. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted November 14, 2010 I was not familiar with "Little Drummer Boy". No xmas in Israel but I like xmas songs. You inspired me to search google. I read the lyrics. Very beautiful story. I listened to the music on youtube. Very beautiful song. I must inform you that I disagree. Little Drummer Boy is giant steps above "Jewish Drummer Lady". Lovely song. It must be inspiring. Link to comment

myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted November 14, 2010 Both of you, thank you for visitng and commenting. Eliana"smile for camera" No, she was not aware of me. I was using a medium long lens (180mm) and pedestrians between us. The head crop disappoints me too -very much. She was on the move (passing me in fact) so I had no time to move further away. She was not with a group. I have no idea why she was walking down the street, looking so serious and beating a drum. Kids are kind of crazy. I hope the story does not take away from the photo. They usually do. Link to comment
hannes_ct 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Meir, it is a beautiful story. I think it adds to the drama. Any chance of finding out what her mission was? Could be very interesting. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted November 14, 2010 No matter we have no idea of her mission... it is a worthy shot just for the pain and angst in her eyes... they are haunting and disturbing... a well-toned photograph Link to comment
jacobeliana 0 Posted November 15, 2010 Amazing shot especially under the circumstances. Link to comment
