Hello my friend from amazing Greece, land of those amazing Ocean Liners...never have I seen so many and so 'huge'...your enthusiastic response is so encouraging and inspiring George.  One day I shall take photos as good as you...but perhaps maybe not so lucky as to see all those fine ships.....warm regards, Gail

This is a mind boggling image.  I look in it, and I think I'm having a flashback to my hippie days.  Very cool, with wonderful designs and colors.

I kind of had the same feeling when I arrived at the finished image...wasn not too sure if it would be TOO busy for most people.  But I still kind of liked it...so stuck with it.  Many thanks for your support and for sharing your thoughts, warm regards, GAil

Hi Gail

The price that was paid by mankind in its entirety for WW2 was far too high, with so many making the ultimate sacrifice.

A couple of lines from the poem FOR THE FALLEN by Laurence Binyon, will always stay with me.

"At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them"

Your image is a fitting and thoughtful tribute Gail

Though for me this is a vision of the future, a myriad of woven inter-galactic transportation portals.  A post war vision of the future 2000 years later,  a veritable cacophony of inter-planetary highways revealing the hidden intrinsic web of space age comminication, within the havoc wreaked by mortal man. This overheated planet, bent on a path of inevitable self destruction! Will mankind ever learn by then? ...I might use a more modern para phrase for the title..."Angels Urgently Required Apply Within"...current wars and events speak volumes, and we need all the angels we can get.

Excellent creativity Gail  and thought provoking foreword.

Best Regards

Alf

Once again, your poignant 'wordsmithing' has taken me to 'the other side'....revealing a new 'vision' which I can truly see.  Whether it takes us to the same conclusion again...who knows.  But I appreciate once more the picture you paint and the words you quote.

I had a very dear Aunt who passed away a few years ago.  She was from Britain and travelled to Canada...one of the many war brides...but WW11 did not fail to traumatize her...the sounds of the bombs never left her mind...thus 'a total wreck' during a thunderstorm. I have never had to live through any thing as close as that kind of fear. She came to Canada and left her whole family behind.  Visiting every few years, and HOME kept changing to the point where she failed to feel the same joy upon arriving.  I find that very sad.  I would never be brave enough to leave my family behind....and although there are beautiful Vistas to explore...my homeland is still 'my homeland.'

So many live where there 'homelands' are being destroyed by the minute...or are the ruins of past wars.....so sad. I have celebrated Rememberance Day from afar all of my life....yet lately it is becoming more 'real' as even many of our 'own' return...and I meet them on the evening news. Just when we think 'ours' will return home...we find out many will remain....I suppose I was blessed to have been born when I was.  My son will end up being too old to ever face battle.....I hope. Thankyou Alf for your visit and for sharing your thoughts, most sincerely, Gail
