Dear Pierre,

I know you posted this a long time ago, but it really caught my attention in your portfolio. An interesting minimalistic composition with strong eye contact and very sharp details. What kind of owl is it and under which conditions did you shoot it?

..and intense gaze. Rarely have I seen so  powerful eye contact between an owl  and viewer(the initial of which obviously were you yourself!). Very careful composition and excellent detail on the plumage of the unquestioned "king of the night". Bravo,Petraki, it is a very powerful avian portrait indeed, worth of all the noise it created among its admirers!

Hristaki, this has been shot with 300mm focal length from not more than three meters! I don't remember the details! About the eye contact, everybody looks his potential predator in the eyes!

Thank you for wandering around my portfolio file mou!

Thank you, Chris!

It's been extracted from a much larger picture as I remember! Meaning I don't have a big original as it appears here!

Welcome, maestro!

As a matter of fact they called me Owl  in certain photo laboratory cause I had registered as a free lancer under that name and furthermore I once uploaded this picture under a title "self portrait" and finally I love that kind of bird!

Thank you for your precious visit, Bela!
