Thank you. You are so kind. I am very happy to hear that this cheered you. That is the best compliment you could give me. Best wishes, Linda

These are my wifes favourite flowers, and mine, the scent is gorgeous, and many a time I've gone to work with that dye from the stamens on the end of my nose : - ). This is a lovely fresh crisp shot and I like it a lot. But I fear you may have blown the highlights somewhat on the far right. Having said that,  It doesn't detract from the image for me.

Best Regards

Alf

Thank you. I always appreciate helpful advice and I can see now what you mean. I love lilies too, they seem to me like elegant ladies in formal gowns on their way to a ball. It was the crisp, clean, pure whites that attracted me to these lilies. I wonder how I could keep the whites super white without blowing them out? There was nothing there to bring out in Photoshop, I guess it is just a little over exposed.

Hi Linda, I too really like lilies.  Kind of like shooting white birds, very difficult to get detail with the sun.  I like slightly over cast days to shoot white stuff, so put your order in ahead of time.

Wow. White Lilies indeed. What a nice presentation. I really like how bright and clear this image is, the composition is very nice as well, you have that diagonal going from bottom left to top right making this image very interesting.

Very nice initial idea and capture. However, this is a fine example how unpredictable light can be when falling on varied surfaces like petals or leaves but in my opinion you made a good choice keeping it fresh and bright. Although Alf has a point to consider. Compliments!
