There aren't too many portraits that make me stop and gulp! but this one did. A really striking image, the clarity of the eyes is perfect, the lighting is just right and the leaning back pose makes the shot look uncontrived and natural. I'm not a great lover of frames, but have to say this one looks good.

Well done Paul!

Best Regards

Alf

I guess my comment will not be a popular one. I don't see any passion here, she is far too much manipulated. Her skin does not look natural, neither do her eyes. The photo does not depict a human being, but a doll. The photo would improve tremendously with less manipulation. I would really like to watch a photo of the human being standing in front of the camera during the shooting, but alas, she is replaced by something artificial. I find it depressing and provoking. What's wrong with real life beauty?

Paul, I hope you don't take my comments too personally. There is a significant tendency at pn to over-manipulate photos of girls. Young girls have their natural wrinkles removed, while old ladies have them exaggerated. This seems to be the correct taste at the moment. You do what most other do, you do it well, and get acclamations for it. But as you understand, I don't quite follow.
