The expression on the face is just great! However, the background is disturbing and takes your eyes away from the face. The green leaves also bother a bit. I am not sure what you could have done while taking the photo though.

Excepcional, la expresividad de ese rostro es excelente.  Cada arruga podria contar probablemente una historia de su vida. Enhorabuena. Vicente.

I could sit and view this photo for hours.  Who is this woman?  Where is she? Where has she been?  What has she seen?  What is she looking at now?  What is she thinking? I disagree with an earlier comment about the background.  I believe it adds context and adds to the mystery, without diverting my attention at all.  No matter where I look in this photo, my eyes keep coming back to her face.  Very arresting.

An absolutely magnificent capture, technically excellent. Thank you for sharing it.

Hi guys, thanks for your interesting comments and your kind words.

She is a tipical woman of the Patzcuaro's lake region in Michoacan Mexico, I took this picture in the midle of the crowd, hidden to don't be discovered by her, so probably she hadn't allowed me to take the picture , I love the photos of the senior citizens, they always have something to tell through they eyes and faces.

This lady is humble but despite of her poorness she looks and carries her dignity.

She was talking with other woman, therefore I think, she heared something amazing, may be the price of her herbs, or may be a little gossip, anyway I couldn´t have understood, so, they was talking in "purepecha" they native lenguage.
