Guest Guest Posted October 20, 2010 Being still a big fan of film I cannot help be think that this image was made for black and white, with a little bit of grain thrown. I would also move the guy from the center of the frame, and move him over the right vertical third. This provides a little more balance in the image.I converted it to grayscale and added just enough grain that it appears taken from a 35mm frame of Tri-X and developed in warm, undiluted D-76.The good old days of photo-journalism!What do you think? hans11664883765 0 Posted October 23, 2010 A wonderful shot Bob! That is a huge bottle of Molson Dry! Scott, while I like the "grainyness" of your version I miss the red colors of the stick on the side. How about B&W with a red stick in it? Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted October 24, 2010 as a fan of bw, let me say that here colours add something to the humans story this photo tells. Becouse also colours are somewhere old, becouse they tells about old clothes, and becouse the contrast with that new red object is evident. so, is an very good journalistic photo (but i prefear to say a very good photo) where colours works for evocavity Link to comment
