gsaphoto 2 Posted October 19, 2010 Excellent infrared shot. Did you use software or it out of camera? Any way good work and thanks for sharing. Link to comment

Did you use software or it out of camera? It looks to me very much like an HDR-processed shot, converted to B&W (and since HRD gives weird and oversaturated colours, it's anybody's guess which particular filter was used for B&W conversion to achieve the infrared-like look -- it didn't have to be infrared). How close am I to the truth here, Chuck? It looks quite cool. Link to comment
cbabbitt 0 Posted October 20, 2010 This is an HDR Infrared image. The original images were captured with a Nikon D100 converted to shoot infrared by LifePixel. The HDR Conversion was done using the new Nik HDR software. Link to comment
paul631 0 Posted October 20, 2010 Awesome. I have it set as wallpaper on my computer at work. People keep stopping to look and ask if it is a painting, drawing or photo. Awesome work. Link to comment

ndj 0 Posted October 23, 2010 Wow Chuck! Spectacular HDR/IR work! HDr is well suited for use with HDR I think. The results are really beautiful to behold. All the best,Neil Link to comment
BobSandford 0 Posted November 3, 2010 I agree that the result of the processing technique is captivating and well-executed but i also must say this compositionally well-conceived - the shapes, the lines, the sense of space and movement - the scene is restful and yet keeps the eye moving. The post-processing augments the narrative, storybook sort of feel of the subject. Well done. Link to comment
