gungajim 75 Posted October 18, 2010 I like this the best of the 3 in the series probably because this seems the sharpest and most focused of the group. The more blurred images don't have an impressionistic feel to them which I was hoping for when I opened them. I love vast expanses of grasses and I have a lot of them nearby but I've never had much luck photographing them. Good effort with this one. GJ Link to comment

steveshinn 0 Posted October 18, 2010 Beautiful image Tatjana. These colorful shots are just lovely but IMHO to get the zing it seems to lack a subject. The short tree doesn't have enough contrast to make it. A person or an animal standing next to it would give it focus.I did a VERY quick stick of a RTH (obviously way out of scale) as an example of what I mean. Naturally, we would either have to wait around for the cooperative bird or... have our mate get into it. Even a shoe or bit of trash will do.Anyway, I do NOT endorse sticking things into images without appropriate disclosures and declarations but I mean to show that without your image the bird is nothing. mareval 2 Posted October 19, 2010 Particuarly of the three I prefer this one in horizontal sense and nice colors. Best Regards. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 20, 2010 I think this is the best realized of the three similar studies. It's amazing how the shift of just an inch or two can make so much difference in the overall balance of a composition. This really is a lovely photograph, Tatjana, a delicate commingling of color and line that is all the more powerful for its understatement. Link to comment
karolostrivizas 2 Posted October 23, 2010 From your last images Tatjana I prefer this horizontal one...Rich golden tonal range nicely exposed...All these successive layers of different tones give also depth to your image...I would agree with Steve that maybe an additional element could enhance the beautiful impression, but also this presentation creates a nice abstraction effect.
