Cafe Owner, Arcadia, Greece

As i walked passed a very simple cafe in a village I saw this lady

sitting close to the door to get light for her crochet's work. She

looked the stereotype of the old women of Greece. I entered, asked

her for a coffee, pulled a chair 2 m from her, measured the exposure

and waited for her to be back. When she did she saw the camera,

looked straight at the lens. When I cocked the shutter for a second

exposure she had gone back to her work and ignored me completely. So

I have this single frame, does it work?

The momentary look is so sharp that it reminds me of a falcon's, knows where it is heading. Beautiful snap.

Stunning photograph. To my eye, the exposure couldn't be better. I'm wondering if you snapped any more pics after she went back to work...I'd love to see the comparison between this and one where she's not looking at the camera.

I like the shot of this typical woman. That's a pitty for the harsh light on the right side, which causes some lack of detail.
