arildheitmann 0 Posted October 13, 2010 A few weeks back i decided to some morningshooting. I hate getting up early, but somehow i managed to get out according to plan. I had hoped for some early morning fog illuminated by the rising sun, but that didnt happen (it did happen a week or so later:-) ) So instead i went into the woods to shoot a nice little waterfall. It was so damn cold this morning. The grass was frozen, the rocks were superslippery and everything was just uncomfortable. Theres a reason i hate getting up early... When i got to this spot i saw these leaves. ok, i`ll admit that i moved one of them, but only a few inches. The one to the right is SOON (straight out of nature). The left one i moved slightly because it was almost in the water and it didnt seem right. Looking back, it wasnt such a bad thing getting up early. Getting back home, grab a cup of coffee before the kids got out of bed... Not bad at all... Have a great day! -Arild- Canon 5d & 17-40mmL w/polarizer Link to comment

anish 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Beautiful processing here. I love the luminosity of the water and moss. Very thoughtful composition as well with good flow from front to back and a clean arrangement of elements. Great work. Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted October 14, 2010 Great story, oh so many of us can relate to that story. I would say you should keep getting up early, this is such a wonderful shot that really shows your eye for composition and technique and post production. All the best to you. Regarding the moved leaf, for me it makes the image almost too perfect. If it were just the tiniest bit more off center or rotated just a touch, but I am niggling at a tiny detail, this is a great shot. Link to comment

pfranklin 0 Posted October 16, 2010 Well done! Beautiful natural color and light...it is OK with me if you moved one or more leaves, nature doesn't always give us the "best" when composing a shot ;)Best regards, Pamela Link to comment
