You did it right way -- composition that start-up on right corner and up on far away church. Excellent cloudy day that is right for such kind shot. Well done!

I love this bold composition. everything draws my eye to the church. The sky is perfectly exposed although I would like to see more colour in the green of the grass. beautiful landscape

Yes, Sonia is right. I have play with saturation and it actually bring more life to it.

Thank you both!

Grigoriy, your version has a lot more punch than the original. I think it is an improvement. I don't like to overdo with the saturation, but here this does have more life. I appreciate you taking the time to do this bit of editing.

Warm wishes,

Linda

It's painterly lovely.  The tall grass forms a path for the eye.  The fence teases the viewer -- what lies on the other side?  The church-- partly peeking over the foliage -- looks rustic, modest from the outside, perfectly in keeping with this bucolic scene.  Even the dirk patches in the grass suggest a well-worn path, the presence of many feet walking to and fro.  I love the sky.  It's an interesting pic because of the details and subdued aspects with just a touch of darkness -- suggestion of change -- in the sky.  I dislike the saturated version, as the yellow of the grass is jarring, disruptive to a visual storybook romp.

Hi Linda.  I love the composition....the subject and diagonal line throughout.  And although I like the bolder colors in Grigoriy's version, I wonder if it wouldn't be best somewhere in between your original and his revision.  I guess I'd have to see it to know for sure.

Nice low perspective good composition and natural colours. I think a compromise between the original and Grigoriy'a more saturated version would be in order as Christal has indicated, but I'd make sure the sky remains as it is.....just perfect.

Kind Regards

I like how your composition conveys a sense of walking through, of movement.  I think the subtle colors lend a romantic interpretation and offer a more realistic experience.

Linda- This is a beautiful fall landscape. The colors are a bit dull - perhaps a touch of curves might add some highlights to the tall grass - but I much prefer this to over-saturated, unrealistic scenes. Your sky is excellent.  This scene has a pastoral, peaceful air to it. I like the unusual perspective and "inversion" of size - usually the building, when it's focal point is larger than the complementary objects such as grass and fences. Here the church peeks out from behind the grass, and the fence towers above on a hill.  I find it to be an unusual, creative composition that keeps me engaged without getting bored. Very well done!

Hello Linda,

A very charming image. The eye is led down the path to the church. Even the sky and fence lead you to the same conclusion. I guess it could use a little brightness but really its fine as is and besides maybe thats the way you wanted it to be. Take care.

Best Regards,

Holger

LOOOVVEE   IT!   Linda, grande composition.  White I agree a little more saturation in the golden grasses is an improvemet....your detail there is GREAT.  Wonderful POV, detail in the Church is great also.  But that sky has to stay, very effective.  Overall an outstanding landscape, one of your best I think...congrats Linda!

I love the balanced composition. The picture tells whats going on here it is neglected. The wooden fence plays a very good role in the picture. The saturation and contrast has already been mentioned. Thanks for sharing, Regards, ifti

I like your halloween picture.
