Thanks for taking your time to comment on this image from Louisbourg,

Nova Scotia on Cape Breton Island. The simple, yet high risk life style of

a fishing family on the coast of Nova Scotia speaks to me with respect in

this image.

Larry - WONDERFUL LIGHTING! Love the colors. My suggestion would be to leave more space on the left and right so the the photo can "breathe" - it just has a crowded feeling being cropped so tightly. I do like the use of the telephone poles, usually a blight and distraction in a photo, they are neither here. WEll done.

Thanks, Sandra.  I appreciate all your comments.  Your idea about opening the image up to breathe more is a good one.  I'll have to get back to the original "negative" to see how much room there is and whether there's additional clutter.  You have a great eye and understand photography well.  Thanks again for your compliments and insights.

Eva,  It is great to hear from you.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well.  I appreciate your compliment on my image.  May we all turn out good images in 2011.

Lovely. I agree with Sandra's  recommendation. Almost looks like a scene I found in Newfoundland.

Tony,  Yes, we have also been to Newfoundland.  I agree; however, many of the  places in Newfoundland are more primitive.  Newfoundland is wonderful.  Thanks for your visit and comment.  Larry
