Nice photograph Anirban. But could the composition have been different ? Of course you would know better.

i can't tell you how you should have composed this as i wasn't there, but working with just what i can see, perhaps this 1:1 crop, tweaked in LR2.7, can give you an idea: the several horizontal lines in this caused by the steps need breaks, as you have with the three figures and the bric-a-brac... i feel the crop ratio of the original gives even more predominance to these horizontals, the breaks are few; the square crop perhaps gives some relief from them... the spaces behind the two extreme figures is of little interest anyway, the large blue thing at bottom right is unidentifiable and doesn't really anchor the composition - so, a tighter crop... the steps, because of your chosen perspective lose their depth. i've tried to achieve that with alternate plays of light and shadow in some parts of the image (without as much success as i may have liked, but perhaps i didn't try hard enough)... i hope this helps

Rajat, really good observations. I had wanted the drama of long horizontal lines to be sharply cut across by the red ... the blue plastic sheet on the right is incidental, but I thought it would balance too much saturated colour on the left, i realize that the image needs to be a little brighter. Thanks for taking time to critique and post-process!
