the composition of this shot is fantastic. The editing work is effective to help enhance your subjects. The only aspect of this image that lets it down is the slight blur in the faces. Of course I recognise just how difficult it is to have them sit still and how difficult the shot as a whole may be and for that reason I think you've done a very good job hans. my compliments

Very impressive portrait shot Hans...I even like the heavy edited background which makes the subjects stand out. Well done...6 from me. Regards, Teo

All thanks for your friendly critiques. Unlike how it seems, I did not edit the background. The apes were inside and the light is coming from a single window in the ceiling. I only had to make the baby ape a bit darker to reduce the contrast between the baby and the mother. cheers, hans

A very great scene, captured in the very right second... Great perspective and positioning of the main image elements as well, moreover everything is wrapped  into wonderful colors and lights, a wonderworld of contrasts in colors and lights as well. Stunning faces, overwhelming expressions in them, too (resembling humans of course), splendid eyes, shapes of fingers and extremities. You managed to brilliantly capture and show their personality (condensed in a  millisecond - what was your actual shutter speed ;-)) and - that they're resembling us so much / relatives. Therefore IMO a masterpeace. 7. BR / Volker

Excellent would be the verdict for this one! A masterpiece of art work more than an animal picture! Both excellent anyway! Cheers my friend!
