Overall, excellent picture.. draws me in nicely.

Focus is bang on the eye. very nice.

White balance is a little too cool for my liking.

How about two of the many things you did "right"

 

1) The focus is on the eyes.

 

2) You have an nice catch light in the eyes

 

You also have good color and have captured a nice expression on her face - one that becomes her.

 

Did wrong? If you want to "pick a nit", it is not "on thirds", but neither are most of my photos of people.

 

This is a photos she would want to keep, her parents would want t to keep,  and her friends would want copies.

 

All in all, very nicely done.
