Sharp, bright & colorful a beautiful composition of the articles of the shop and the shop owner. But it is not a portrait, I feel.

The both versions are fantastic, I love colors and composition, the guy looks great smile.

This is a fun portrait that I am sure the storekeeper would enjoy to have hanging in his shop. 

There is no question that the background is extremely busy and that the bright colors draw attention away from the subject, but that part of the fun of this portrait.

This would be amusing to use for his personalized Christmas card or business card. He looks like he has a good sense of humor.

When I saw this in thumbnail view I thought for sure it was yet another horrid attempt at cut and paste photochoppery.  But it's not!

 

I have to admit, I like it.  Even though it appears the merchant is being consumed by his colorful products, he is smiling.

 

The photograph made me smile when so much of what I see, day in and day out, makes me want to barf.

In the thumbnail it seems like a photo collage ... and a bad one :( The big picture did justice, anyway!
The absence of the shadow gives the image an unrealistic feel, which I like it. Good shot!
