This is another strong and compelling photo, John. I love the way the moon glows, the reflections and the hints of color breaking through the darkness. Fabulous!

Apsolutely stunning. I looked at the type of lens you used. I love taking photos in low light, but I don't have the best lens. I wanted to buy a good lens thathas a wide angle for landscapes and would be best in low light situations. Would your Sigma 17-50mm F/2.8 be what you would recommend?

Kathleen - The Sigma is a very sharp lens with the benefit of an optical stabilser for hand held use. In this photo I used a tripod as the exposure was long. I do recommend it for your purposes as it is very good for low light purposes and for general use.
