I took this photo at 5 Towers (the picks illuminated on the left) in the dolomites. It's a single shot exposed for the highlights; in pp than I recover the shadows.

The lateral light helped me to obtain a similar shot!

Outstanding landscape capture, light, composition and dof are superb, wishing you all of the best.

Impressive light! Single shot without the use of ND grads (as I understand) explains why the ground exposure is a bit on the dark side, but nevertheless I think it works fine and just ads to the overall mood.

I think that by having the darker landscape puts the emphasis on the tower, which is the most dramatic way to take this photograph. Its good to see some detail but the shadows are perfectly done.

Very impressive, very graphic image, effectively composed and exposed, with great natural colour. Pity it can't be viewed here on black background, which would allow the viewer to better enjoy the shadow detail.

Rather a magical feel to this composition.
