kahkityoong 0 Posted July 22, 2010 This was a location that I had dreamed to visiting for years and in the end I had only one chance to shoot it at sunrise with the tide at lowest point. Thankfully, the sunrise wasn't half bad. I ran around hunting for some suitable foreground water motion but eventually settled on the leading lines in the sand patterns. Canon 5DMkII, 16-35mm 2.8L, single exposure, reverse GND filter. PS. I've gone for a darker sky relative to the foreground for aesthetic reasons rather than strict accuracy. Link to comment

brian_goodman 0 Posted July 22, 2010 I like this image. I kind of feel that darkening the upper and lower left corner is killing some of that awesome light and tone though, and just may be throwing it a little off balance. Your light is so awesome here and certainly beneficial.Always love your perspectives and style though......Brian Link to comment
gonaloruizesquide 0 Posted July 22, 2010 ABSOLUTELY!beautiful, dynamic, perfectly composed, the light, the colors... i like alll of it! and going for a dark sky was in deed a very good move... Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted July 22, 2010 Brian, you're probably right. I'll do some lightening on the left side. It's naturally dark as that side is further from the rising sun but your suggestion would look better. Thanks for all the comments everyone. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted July 23, 2010 The expertise you exhibit in your craft never ceases to amaze me! This is simply a superb composition and exposure. Personally, I'm not sure I'd change a thing here. Terrific work, Kah Kit! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 24, 2010 Long time......this is a gem, a very unusual corner, you are overdoing yourself...The lights ! and details are spot on. Very skillfully chosen angle Link to comment

ffrank 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Beautiful spot......I can see why you wanted to photograph it. Considering you were rushed and had only one chance you certainly created a stunning image. I think your leading lines in the foreground work well. I would liked to have seen more of them in the lower left but this is still very good. Link to comment
bettiecl 0 Posted September 20, 2010 Marvelous light and and choice of angle, Kah Kit. The reflection around the piece of rock is soooo unbelievable unique and dramatic and evocative! So much so, that I think the inclusion of the also very dramatic sky scape fights with it. A crop just above the mountains in the background .. maybe one finger or so, would allow the attention whole heartedly on the leading lines, the pool the rock and the sky reflections in the pool. Toast to you! I love your style and how you subtly change it towards a greater surreal effect. Link to comment
BelaMolnar 2 Posted October 15, 2010 I know, color is impressing people, but I would do that in b/w. Where is this place? I just get back from west coast, Oregon, with images like this. Excellent. Cheers; Bela Link to comment
