pnital 36 Posted July 21, 2010 Sorry for writing the word Ballet with a mistake( balett) in all 3 of them. the 10 minutes edit/delete, in a site that declare it is a learning one, is a real right that was taken from us. My apology. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 21, 2010 Beautiful and so well presented, an image so pleasant to view, wishing you all of the best. Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted July 21, 2010 Dear PN ina, what a beautiful picture, and don't apology, it is very idiotic that they did 'steel' our right to edit and delete. I still don't understand the reason why they want us to correct in 10 minutes, what kind of problem does it give even to do it a week later, but okay that is another discussion, and we cannot do anything about it. End of discussion ......brrrrrrrrrrr.....why do they think we are all childeren -with love Els Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 22, 2010 The feel of the photo befits the delicacy of the subject matter. I can almost feel this one and hear the music that accompanies.... Link to comment
tibig 0 Posted July 22, 2010 Beautiful series on the swans! I see you enjoyed your Russian trip a lot.Best Regards, Tibi Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 22, 2010 Rashed, thanks again. Elsi, glad to see you here and read that you are well, it really made me happy for you. Yes it is a very bad change to a site that sees itself as a learning one......does not have any logic IMO.I know we think alike in this fruitless discussion in the SITE "HELP" (which is not a help at all in this regard....)Thanks for liking the photo I will upload some more from that dance Jeff, classical dance is not the kind of dance I see frequently, as I work with modern dance groups, so it was a nice change, and a long one ( 2 hours....) I saw it many times years ago,and I love the music, so I'm glad it affected you in about the same way...Thanks Tibi,a very intensive / educational / enjoyable week.I photographed about 1000 frames that I'm in the middle of sorting out....I hope you are well, traveling as usual....;-)) Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted July 22, 2010 WOW! I am in trance after viewing this evocative image. Composition, light, color and texture are superb. The speed and grace of the ballet dancer ,always fascinated me."Swan Lake" ballet, Tchaikovsky's composition, and Pnina's images are my all time favorites. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted July 23, 2010 Pnina, love the fascinating atmosphere, nice color combination & layers, really wonderful rendering! Best regards Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted July 23, 2010 This is so beautiful. It looks like she's in a lake instead of a forest, and the vegetation are reeds, and her feet seem to be in motion just dancing and dancing; the blue looks like murky water. I love it. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 23, 2010 Amal, thanks for all of your comments. The swan lake music was my marriage present ( then a record player....) so I have a special feelings for this dance and music.;-)) Richard thanks as well, glad you liked it. Donna, it is a lake in the forest! It was such a nice BG light and setting,as the Russian well know to present in the classical realm....Thanks. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted July 23, 2010 Pnina, This reminds of a Japanese watercolour with its delicacy and grace. Since the subject has been raised I would like to respond to both yourself and Elsi wondering why the time limit was imposed. It is my opinion that this decision was made for the same reason many decision are made at PN, that being to find ways to make the job of running the site easier for the administration. I suppose this gives more time for watching sports or changing diapers or drinking beer or whatever goes on instead of making any of the improvements to areas of the site which have been promised for years but never delivered upon, such as revamping the critique forum . Most of the administrative decisions on this site reflect the fact that it is far simpler to run a kindergarten than it is to run a university. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 23, 2010 Thanks for writing me and your thinking it looks like Japanese water color. Coming from the painting world (4 years art school) It is a compliment I appreciate much. Thanks as well of writing your point of view, I tried to find out ,again, about the change of time of edit/delete (you can read it in the site help forum of today),as for me (and some others I talked with) it is not easy, especially as a non English speaking, which uses two dictionaries to better my language and expression..... I'm 9 years a member at PN, and I see my files as my "catalogue" ( helped me as an artist in real life, exhibitions and catalogues). In our previous site forum comments about this subject, I don't see you uploading new works, and that is sad as I like your photography work very much. I hope to see you uploading again your work in the future. Thanks again. Link to comment
