katzpjs 50 Posted July 19, 2010 It appears that you have caught just about everyone's attention with this fine bit of HDR work. The details in the upper half of the image are admirable and I particularly like the shift of the shadow details as the go from the side to the top of the building. You have a winning image here. vancouverphotographer 1 Posted July 23, 2010 I don't know what you do but your colours are always so vibrant and always a great sense of razor sharpness in your images ... great golden light there too. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted July 24, 2010 JORGE Many thanks for your visit and kind words, much appreciated! The detail in the moon on the full size file was quite suprising!Kind RegardsAlfDALEAs for the colour, maybe a combination of contrast and hues in photoshop that produces it, but the light also helps a lot. As for the sharpness, well the Nikkor 16 - 35mm 4G ED is a great lens, and also I always use a tripod. A few slight adjustments to unsharp mask in photoshop adds an extra bit of shrpness. I do have to be careful with this lens and the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 that I don't oversharpen. Many thanks for the visit and the feedback Dale, much appreciated!Kind RegardsAlf Link to comment
karolostrivizas 2 Posted July 24, 2010 Clarity, details and beautiful reflections Alf.But IMHO the strongest point of this -and your previous- image is the perfect treatment of this wonderful warm light. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted July 28, 2010 KARALOSMany thanks for your feedback and kind comments. I agree it is the evening light that makes the image attractive, the same scene in broad daylight looks grey and dull.Kind RegardsAlfVLADIMIR Sincere Thanks, I am very flattered.Kind RegardsAlf Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted July 31, 2010 RICHARD Sincere thanks for your visit and your feedback, much appreciated! I know just what you mean about the reflection, I waited and waited for the wind to drop completely, but it just didn't happen whilst the light was as you see it. Later on it did, but of course the light wasn't quite the same then.Cheers Richard!AlfJANEGBERTSincere Thanks, much appreciated!RegardsAlf Link to comment
