Thanks, Samme.  I took several shots in this folder while driving around town with a 24mm lens.  I was struck by the empty look of this area not far from downtown Salisbury.  Something about its very starkness appealed to me.

This was my first set of shots made without a tripod in a long time.  The gear was overkill, but it was what I had ready, and so preparing to go out to shoot meant picking up the camera on the way out the door. . . .

It's a wonderful image that creates an interesting mood in me.  Sometimes I feel just like this image, - existing, but not well traveled.

Hi Lannie,

I like the perspective of both of the images.

I also like the fact that you remained in the zone of best performance for the Canon 24mm F/1.4 L lens. I have the same lens (what don't I have ?), and I use it between F/1.4 and F/4, with F/2 being more of the standard. The issues with this "L" lens are some low level color fringing and distortion, and even coma at F/1.4 near the edges. However, it is the best of the 24mm that Canon has made, with the 24mm F/2 FD a close second.

Best Regards my friend, Mike
