Derek, welcome to photo.net! I think that you are off to a good start here. The clouds make an interesting pattern that is appealing. The colors are also nice. I do have two suggestions. Consider using a photo editing program to make the horizon level. Also, consider cropping the photo so that the trees in the center become more prominent. I have attached an example, I apologize in advance if you prefer that I did not.
