gunnar1664882369 1 Posted July 3, 2010 I rate this photo some days ago, but didn´t left a comment yet. The image is amazing, excellent presentation of the detail. The birds are on right places and adds a lot to the overall feeling. The composition is very good and light is just fantastic. Best regards. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 4, 2010 From what you have explained Dimitris, you have done as little as possible to 'ruin' this lovely image. It amazes me when one is 'in the right place at the perfect time'....the golden time of day when you are able to capture tones and hues not otherwise possible. This 'tug boat' that at any other time of day, would seem almost ugly and dirty as it goes about it's harbour chores, is transformed into a thing of beauty just by 'light'. The shadows work to your advantage in the entire scene. What a beautiful moment it must have been just to 'take in', let alone, capture the image. Even the seagulls, especially the one in the foreground are in just the right place. Then as I look further into the image the other boats and background hills have complied, turning 'Evening Traffice' into what appears to me as "Evening Tranquility'. Stunning! my sincere thanks for sharing this lovely composition. On this quiet Sunday morning, your composition has touched me deep inside, where the 'Master's Brushes' dance. Sincerely, Gail Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted July 4, 2010 I am terribly sorry El I should have answered your question. Please forgive me for not doing so earlier. My God El, how many times have you been to Cyprus? I am very impressed; yes it is Limassol, just outside the harbour. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted July 6, 2010 Good morning Dimitris, thank your for confirmation. I was sure because of the bg contours and especially because of the higher hill to the left. And yes, I am quite regularly in Limassol for a couple of days...:) Regards - El Link to comment

stupski 0 Posted July 28, 2010 I have been gone for a while my friend, but I see you have not. Your work just keeps getting better and better. Being a lover of the sea, I admire the unique way you have presented this shot in monotones. I've latched on to the overlapping shapes, and the concept of threes--three mountains, three boats, three birds--which I like very much. They work beautifully together and give a nice sense of (soprano, alto and bass) harmony. Very nice. I'll be coming back soon to look at more. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted July 28, 2010 Hi, D.L. It is nice to see you back my friend!. I too adore the sea. The voice of my mother still echoes in my mind when she was calling us for supper at dusk when we were little and we always answered...in a minute. But it was always much longer than a minute, we were very reluctant to come out of the water.....-:). When you have a minute listen to the harmony of ''Chi mi frena'' from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. Thank you for your wonderful, comment. Warm regards, Dimitris. Link to comment
