I took these photos as part of a documentary photography class I am taking. Any comments would be appreciated (I'm trying to learn as much as I can)

I am currenly taking a course in documentary photography. For my

project, I have been visiting a rehabilitation center for birds of

prey. This represents part of that project. I'd appreciate an

opinion on the collection as a whole rather than on or two photos.

Most useful would be in knowing which photos to keep and which to

discard.

I'll be adding more this weekend.

The tip of the beek blends a bit too well with the shawdow just to the left of it but I think the photo is great. I don't have a suggestion to improve that though because I like the lighting as is.

It was a very good choice of a shooting location as well.

great capture, I would recommend cropping the black stone out of the bottom and reflecting a little light into the right side if you have the opportunity to do so. If not, work the crop to remove as much of the dark left as possible - it pulls the eyes away from the intended subject and the "decisive moment" captured here. JMO Dave

I'll try but the "stone" is really a gloved hand and I was trying to show that someone was holding the bird. I think you are right after looking at it however and it would be more compelling if I remove the glove.

I love it. Great expression on the hawks face. I'm mixed on the inclusion of the glove. I can see it remaining if this is part of a picture package.
