johnroberts 0 Posted June 19, 2010 Taken at Lower Slaughter in the Cotswolds. Unfortunately I lost the feet of the artist when I straightened the chinney of the Old Mill. One of the penalties of using a wide angle lens ! Link to comment
gardena 0 Posted June 19, 2010 John, since you have lost the man's feet anyway, why don't you experiment with a crop. The bright gear in the lower half is quite distracting. The image gains a certain sense of peacefulness without it. Sorry to see the gin (?water) bottle go though! Link to comment
hans11664883765 0 Posted June 19, 2010 I agree with Adrienne, lose some of the distracting objects at the bottom and focus on the artist, his picture and what he is painting. Link to comment
johnroberts 0 Posted June 19, 2010 Adrienne & HansYes, I agree and I am looking at the best way to remove the items, crop or clone. Thanks for your input.Regards... John Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted June 19, 2010 What a wonderful scene to find and that guy did you a big favour being there. Although the Mill and the house look great subjects on their own...good work mate. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted June 19, 2010 I like the perspective, looking over the artists shoulder, there is a lot to look at in this image, and although there are some bits and pieces belonging to the artist within the scene, I don't think they necessarily detract from the overall mood of the image, in an ideal world they just wouldn't be there, but we are dealing with the real world and I think you have done an excellent job in capturing the essence of the scene.Well done John!RegardsAlf Link to comment
