Excellent view down a beautiful valley with your own tame sheep to aid and assist. It gives a new meaning to cloning. Great shot.

Cheers.....John

 GAIL

Everything and everyone has thier own personal name,I just happen to know them all, ask joe! ....

: - ) and yes even the tree's, the one in my garden is called Edward, I call him Edwood which really annoys him.  I can't list everything it would take far too long, but there is also a spider named Arnold Spearhumper Donglethwaite Pothopper, a Slug named Stanley and a field mouse named Al Chewit.

Thanks for the lovely card and your very kind comments Gail.

Warm Regards

I am about a week late commenting on this,Excellent composition, the eye travels nicely from the sheep to the valley, the darker areas at the top help the viewer concentrate on the interesting parts of the image and stops the eye wondering into the corners, lighting and detail here is also very good, wonderfull image,i would't mind hanging that on my wall, regards,Harry

Many thanks for your visit, your comments are well considered and thought out as usual and I am really flattered by what must be the ultimate compliment (" I wouldn't mind hanging that on my wall") from a well respected fellow photographer.

Sincere Thanks Harry

This is an wonderful image, more so because of the sheep adding to the composition. We can enjoy the gorgeous valley and at tne same time be connected to a living creature!! A beautiful one.  Warm regards.

Alf, what a great image! I love the beauty of the landscape, but Sean makes a wonderful addition. Great story too. You owe that sheep a pint, my friend.

Yeah I think you are right I do owe him a pint, .....question is a pint of what? beer? sheepdip? water? .....well I'll let him choose : - )

Sincere thanks for your kind comments and observations Liz.

Pardon the pun but if the sheep didn't save the day, you could always "clone" the car out of the scene.  LOL

I don't numerically rate photos nor do I allow mine to be numerically rated soooooooo here's my feedback:   I love the sheep.  It gives the viewer a point of interest in the scene.

Your words are much appreciated, and particularly so as I do not seek ratings either (this image is critique only) as feedback is much more important to me.  Lol Yeah indeed I would have had to "clone" the car out if Sean didn't show up when he did, alternatively I could have used my emergency blow up sheep!  : - )

Thanks for your visit Kathy

That is the greatest story. I am not sure what is better...your images or your accompanying stories. I have always defended sheep...contrary to popular belief, I always find them to be quite smart, charming and original. You just proved me right. Wonderful image...you are quite a team.

Many thanks for your visit and thoughts, I share your views about sheep, they are far more intelligent than people give them credit for, and I shall know think of you in a new light "Tiffany Brook Defender of the sheep"

: - )

Take care Tiffany

The photo is excellent even without the background story.  The colors and detail of this shot are excellent.  It is the presence of "Sean" which makes it perfect.

Very well done, Alf...

Every sheep needs a shepherd and every student needs to learn from a master.  You have become a shepherd for a lot of us.  Thanks for sharing this charming story which serves to reiterate the sometimes unpredictible nature of photography and its rewards.

Many thanks for your visit and very generous words. But I feel I am far more often the student than I am the master. However I am in total agreement that nature and truth, can be far stranger than any fiction, and the best part of being a witness as well as a photographer is that you can capture the moment with your camera. Thanks again Adan, much appreciated!

Kind Regards
