Wow that's beauty Alf. You're really going for the blue tones these last few images. Love the rich dark tones, and the way the blue in the sky and water compliment the blue boat. Nice work guy!

All the best,
Neil

Absolutely beautiful.....did I ever tell you about a little ant named Joe, and poor Joe cast a spell of 'blue' over the land'....oopps  just kidding (lol) . I love classic wood boats, these look so beautiful.  The blue hues remind me of that 'magic' time of day, the atmosphere is still, the water is still, the days flury and activity has ended and everyone is ready to relax.

The little world I see before me is immersed in such tranquility. The blue boat reminds me of a desire to be different., and perhaps not as 'classic' as the rest of the boats, but dares to be different and is not afraid to dock right smack in the middle, comfortable in it's own 'skin' and parqallel to the same histogram of it's surroundings. . It tells me that we all can be confident in  ourselves, not afraid to be different and venture into unknown waters of 'opportunity  and creativity'......and thus we have this beautiful image before me. Not a blue 'hue' because of feeling 'blue' but a blue of true peace of mind and tranquility within our surroundings.

Beautiful image Alf. thankyou for sharing your never ending talents with us all, sincerely, Gail

Outstanding image the effect of the boats too close on the foreground add a lot of interest to the amazing DFO here, wishing you all of the best.

You are becoming the A1 exponent of the low light shots. Great colours and excellent detail from the boats. Beautiful exposure.

NEIL

Thank you so much for your kind words, the "blue" time is my favourite time of the evening, when the buzz of the day finally ceases and silence prevails except for the shrill call of a coot, a few squabbling ducks and the soothing swish sound of the water lapping the shore, ahhhh bliss!

Cheers Neil!

Alf

GAIL

Of course your referring to "Joes incredible boat journey to the land of blue" This is where the chief ant or Queen as she is better known, sends Joe on a trans-atlantic boat journey to colonise new lands in search of Ice Cream, Jam Donuts and Blueberry muffins.......to be continued : - )

Thank you for a such a lovely analogy Gail, it is so very close to my own instinctive reaction to the "different" boat, in fact I was toying with the idea of calling it "Being Different" or "Being Single" ...but thought those titles could be misinterpreted as me being conceited about the image, but your interpretation tells me I chose the right title, so my Sincere Thanks to you Gail.

Kind Regards

JOHN

Many Thanks for looking in, and for your very encouraging  comments,  I sometimes think it's easier to get more dramatic images once the sun has dissapeared, It's the daytime shots I struggle with....I think I'd be better suited to being nocturnal........grow a set of fangs and hang upside down in a cave : - )  Thanks again John & Take care

Alf

KEITH

Yeah ok ok ok It's blue but shhhhh theres a few Evertonians round here that would deliberately misinterpret that statement as me admitting to changing sides! : - ) Sincere Thanks for your observation sand kind comments Keith, much appreciated.

Nothing wrong with boats. I learnt to row in a lovely clinker built dinghy like this. Beautiful image.

Hey Alf, I do have to mirror Keith's words....favorite color? Bet your socks are even blue or at least a blue toe!

I love the boats, it is almost as if they were waiting for someone to come along with a camera and take this picture ;) Such a lovely place and the sunset really shows off the mountains in the background. I would have liked to see this...of course with camera in hand!

Take care, Pamela

Nothing wrong with boats at all, I love them, I'm drawn to them like a magnet, I look at them with admiration and longing, the only reason I typed "Yeah...I know more boats" is because I fear my enthusiasm for them may not be shared by all. Many thanks for your visit and kind words Adrienne

Alf, Wonderful work as usual, but your comment to Neil about the "blue" time of the evening is just as good. Makes me want to get back to the shore (any shore) soon. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Take care, Deanna
