A Higher Calling

Beinn Alligin, Torridon, Scotland.I have climbed Tom Na Gruigach in the Torridons half a dozen times now and the view from the summit across to Beinn Alligin and the roof of Torridon never ceases to astonish me. Some days are undoubtedly better than others in the mountains but I can tell you now, this is one of the few scenes on one of those rare days that have ever brought tears to my eyes and a lump to the throat it seems to transcend earthly experiences and propel you towards a higher calling.Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polariser, 0.45ND grad, f/22 at 1 second, Velvia.

Stunning place with magnificient view. Unfortunately, we had no good weather on the top during our trek last autumn. After 40 minutes of waiting in low clouds, 20 meters visibility and cold wind, we decided to return. After another hour and 500m descend, clouds disappeared...
