william_staniforth 0 Posted June 3, 2010 A very reluctant model who came with my Grandson . She was very shy and self concious . I chose B/W Hi- Key to flatter her . She was pleased with the resulting print . Your thoughts are appreciated . Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 4, 2010 Very well chosen finish for this photo I think. I know how she feels, I've always been shy in front of the camera. My Dad liked to use me as a model when I was a child, and I hated it. The camera intimidates me, why I do not know. So I think you managed to get a great shot of her. I'm so glad she was pleased with the end result. I can imagine her feeling of pleasure, for when I actually see a good shot of myself Iit makes me feel so much better about myself. Well done! sincerely, Gail Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted June 4, 2010 Thanks Rashed and Gail . I'm in my 78 th year , so when I approach young girls with a camera , they think I have an ulterior motive . It's the " dirty old man " syndrome ! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 4, 2010 Syndromes come and syndromes go.....enjoy yours while you can, just be a 'harmless Dirty Old Man'. I'm sure you are, but even young girls' blush in the presene of an older gentleman. You are the same age as my Dad, and he doesn't seem old at all. He speaks and acts almost as he always has, and still lets the 'tunes rip' when he turns up the speakers! You have a grande Sense of Humour....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
