Watching these flowers light up in the morning sun was beautiful. I have

trouble with these colors but feel pleased with this result...what do you

think? I appreciate you taking the time to comment ;)

Love the simple composition against the black BG and its subtle border. Both flowers are sharp but the upper flower with its rich color outshines the lower one. Well done. Regards, ifti

Love the distinctiveness of each level of petals although I may be biased as gerberas are my favorite flower. You've captured the full richness of their colors. GJ

pamela - sorry for being a bit critical but this rendition does not have the clarity, crispness and color depth that the first posting has. hope we are still friends...

Thank you all for the nice comments and ratings. I am happy that you like this and appreciate that you have taken the time to tell me your thoughts....

Even you Dror  ;)  it is after all me who asked for the critique. Yep we are still friends and as always I look forward to your comment....whatever you chose to share. While I agree with you, the first posting has many things that make it better...I really like this one and am happy with the results I was able to get when shooting in the morning light.

Warm regards, Pamela

..at the end-of-the-day, your own critique, and and your own feelings are the most important. as an architect, i know that everyone is a "critic" and i still have to do what i think is right and good. keep going. i looked at some of your landscapes and they are astonishingly sharp, front to back. any known secrets/tips?

Once again I think you have done really well with these notoriously difficult colours, however I can also see where Dror is coming from in his summmary as this image appears less vivid and dynamic than your first posting. I think all the detail is there to be brought out, and maybe a touch more contrast will do the trick? .....well I could be wrong.....it has been known .....: - ) Nonetheless still a very appealing image.

Take Care Pamela

Thank you all for the comments, I am happy that you like this. I just love these flowers and find them interesting. Your comments and advice are always appreciated.

Alf, I know that maybe I could have done a bit more on the pp work but really liked this just as it is. I think if I had posted a larger version you might have been able to see what I like so much about this one. Sometimes when you downsize for PN the image loses a little. I hope you are well ;)

Take care, Pamela

Nice to see your work in 'editors' picks'. It and others has encouraged to to work on processing skills. I find too much hard on my eyes but know I must master more techniques. Take care.

Gorgeous flower shot Pamela! The lovely light against the black background really makes this image stand out.

All the best,

I agree with the folks that commented that this one is not quite the same as the other one.  I would like to suggest that you lighten it a bit and then color correct. This one is too cyan biased but I would have to lighten it first to make a better judgment. Best regards,
