This is a picture of a Mollymawk I took on a fishing trip north of Dunedin. I

took the shot underexposed, and then blew the exposure to produce a high

key, high contrast image, and adjusted the WB, to get simple, sweeping

lines.

This won't please everyone you know!

I like the solid black leading edges of the wings, and the simplicity of it too. I'd  like to see more space around the bird tho' - it's much to cramped!

Thanks for the comments - I agree, the bird does look a bit cramped! The idea behind this was to emphasise the curves and lines of the bird, but I'm not sure what you could do with an image like this - use it in a publication? Print and hang up on a wall?
