carsten_ranke 0 Posted May 8, 2010 Wow, even the small preview let me think "Velvia and medium format". The central composition is perfect here, since you got a nice radial gradient of brightness and saturation with you wide angle lens. High quality colrs and tones, very beautiful color contrast, strong lines - I have nothing to complain here :-) Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted May 9, 2010 Sidsel, thank you, I am glad you like it.Boris, ahoj - I remembered you immediately when I saw the tree... My favourite tree near Edelstahl I shot last year in the night had been cut off, it gave way to new building grounds. I did not shoot this one at night, if you continue about 300 m through the vineyards towards Edelstahl, you'll find the cherry tree I shot at night this year (now still in my Recent Uploads folder). I was thinking of taking a night shot of your tree, but found it quite challenging regarding depth-of-field (when shooting medium format at f/4) and lightpainting in the vineyard. Maybe next year.Carsten, this scene was made for Velvia. I regret that it was quite windy on that morning, resulting in movements of the branches, but still it came out fine. I will post other versions for comparison.Best regards to all. Link to comment
