Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2010 The variable DOF here makes this image is a real outstanding one, plus the atmosphere and the expression on the child face is another great adding to the composition and quality of this photograph. Wishing you all of the best. Link to comment
fpessolano 0 Posted May 4, 2010 This is one of your best ones. The kid expression sets the mood but the OOF makes the shot really nice. Just a pity for the halos around the person in the background. Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted May 4, 2010 outstanding shot Birte even by your high standards. I love the contextual element you provided here and your composition are very compelling. The close cropping of the child makes it more intimate, and her position in the frame invite the viewer into her world. Outstanding job - Regards - michel Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 6, 2010 What a plight these unfortunate people must be in. A location that 'naturally' would be so beautiful, their home, being ravaged by big machinery and noise. It must be unbearable. A place where all you should hear is the sound of the birds and insects, and the village children laughing at play. This child's face seems to fortell the future. Great photo Birte but such a sad reality. Well done, Sincerely, Gail Link to comment

jrickert 2 Posted July 26, 2010 Excellent documentary portrait, Birte. I love the very shallow depth of field, and the treatment of the girl's face. I don't know how you did it, but it looks outstanding! Your photo is on the front page today! Link to comment
