She can only imagine what a real family and life are like as she looks to

heaven for assistance. Cleaned and straight I purchased her new

clothes. A young beauty in and out she really is; she just has to realize

it one day.

If you're expecting that a bath and new clothes are going to heal anyone, all I can say is make sure you photo equipment is securely locked away. You've obviously been "IN" the streets, but just like most social workers, I don't think you have a clue as to what it really is. Best of luck. Your photos are great.

Thank you for your comment Jim. I do appreciate them all.

I have been photographing on the streets and in the more troubled areas for 3 years. I have written 2 published books on life in these areas. I have seen more than what i want to see and experienced more than what I wished to. ..

I photograph life as it is, telling a story as it is. My work as a photographer is to photograph and tell a story through photographs (photojournalism). It is the impact of the photograph that matters. If a photograph impacts you good or bad then that photograph is good. If you look at a photograph and feel nothing, it does nothing for you then it did not serve its purpose. If you can look at this series of photographs and feel nothing, I did not do my job. If you look at them and they make you ill, angry, or disgust you or cause you to feel empathy then they served their purpose.

my ratings are for this photograph and in no way reflect my opinion of the series... i like your pov, the soft tones perhaps complement the theme, but imo the composition is lacking in imagination (i have seen several of your photographs that vouch for compositional skills)

Both the portraits of your pretty model are excellent James, but I prefer this dreaming expression. .....Excellent light treatment and rich, nicely contrasting, gray tones.

Thank you Karlos.

she is not a model though. She is Tajanik. She is real and her story is real. I was just there to photograph her; no posing. She moved and acted as if I were not there. I intruded upon her life for my photos of her.
