pnital 36 Posted April 29, 2010 Very good angle and DOF. the light play on the BG mountains, water, and FG rocks is soft, as well as the shadows( one can see the details there). it was a good time photographing this beautiful spote, and the silence talks. The house is a nice unusual addition in this landscape.( BTW, I stopped rating even though I sometime ask for critique, .I think that the best way is asking for critique only . You are right that many good photographers left the site, probably because of shallow evaluations and the rating. I hardly look at the rating as numbers are not a good evaluation, a real evaluation/critique is ,and helps.) Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted April 29, 2010 Absolute in line with 'Annie at rest' - or viceversa. Has all ingrediences good and interesting landscape photography should have. Guess that both captures even more powerful when seen enlarged. ( Not possible on my pc). Thank you for sharing your works, Alf, I enjoy you works! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted April 29, 2010 PNINASincere Thanks and appreciation for your visit and thoughtful comments. It is a very beautiful spot and the little boat house I found to be very appealing.I am in complete agreement with you about the ratings system, A rating is after all, just a number, and a number cannot possibly give encouragement over the things we have done right or constructive advice over the things we have done wrong. As you have said, words are far more important and communicate a real flavour of what people see in our images, good bad or indifferent, all this information can help.Thank you again for your valuable contribution PninaKind RegardsAlfELMany thanks for your visit and kind words, I'm really pleased you enjoyed viewing my work, it is quite satisfying to know that people get pleasure from viewing my images. The files I upload are quite small, but the originals do have some amazing detail. I appreciate your thoughts El.Warm RegardsAlf Link to comment
