evan_mathison 0 Posted March 2, 2003 What an exquisite Portrait of this Matriarch! ... 10 out of 10 for all the technical jive, and a potently enigmatic expression ... They don't get any better! ... Thanks, Evan ... Link to comment
adelio da 0 Posted March 2, 2003 Great tones, tones, clarity, beautiful composition. I love the dignity of her glance. Great work. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted March 4, 2003 Very nice tones and hues. Her white hair forms an excellent contrasting outline against the purple scarf. Dof is very well placed and effective. Nice portrait. If it was to be cropped I think I would prefer to see the left side go as I find the brightness a bit detractive from her face. Link to comment
erin_danielle_ryan 0 Posted March 4, 2003 great job capturing her numinous expression Link to comment
davidh 0 Posted March 14, 2003 I really like this image. The look in her eye, her hand touching her chin - you really captured her grace and dignity quite wonderfully. Her gaze is almost wistful - makes me wonder what she was thinking about. Excellent! It's also a technically good image as well. Your tight control over depth of field works very well here. As does your framing of the subject against the frame of her (?) doorway. Good job! Link to comment
erin_____grasshopper__rice 0 Posted March 15, 2003 IMHO, The red wall takes away from the picture...the brightness just distracts from the old woman... Nice capture, though. Link to comment
nathan_pier 0 Posted March 15, 2003 a fantasic looking image but I would eliminate some of the dead speace. Link to comment
david_faulkner 0 Posted March 18, 2003 Other than a slightly tighter crop (and thats just MHO). Fantastic. Link to comment

hashim a 0 Posted April 2, 2003 Outstanding portrait. Essentially it's the eyes that stand out most for me in this photo -- but all the elements work very well. Link to comment
karen_siebert 0 Posted May 12, 2003 Not much else to add. This photo has definitely gotten the exposure it deserves; but I hate to not comment on such a job well done. Good work Link to comment
