I'm sure this is also nice in color, but with the wonderful range of tones you have here, I think you made a good choice with the B&W. Lovely!

Love the Dolomites. I've also been there in October 2009. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too great near the "Geisler Spitzen" so I only have one decent shot from this place.

 

I like your shot and putting the village into the scene enhances the majestic appearance of the mountains even more.
