I was up here a couple of weeks ago and saw far more brown than green; still too early. Bad weather often makes for great photos -- nice job.

One day!- one Day! - i will visit this magnificent place - I am sure I will not capture the beauty that others have already done but it would be worth a try! A very attractive image - well done.

Tony, I think a person could spend years driving all of the backroads, especially through the changing seasons and changing light, as Ryan has shown here. Morning and evening light is magical when the rolling hills begin to cast shadows.

Ryan, this is truly stunning! I would be tempted to crop the tree tops at the bottom, but at the same time, keeping the horizon in the middle is better than slightly off center. The Larger view is totally captivating!

Thanks guys, For this comp I felt I could sacrifice having the trees showing at the bottom. My water mark caused more attention drawn to them but otherwise I felt the shadow helped hold them back. There was so much happening when I took this photo. I wanted a composition that really used strong thirds and balance. I didn't want to use a tight telephoto because I felt the overall image was more impressive and I would of been comp stomping. I have another image I'll post soon looking south showing the actual size of these clouds. Ry

Great light and clouds. I've gotta get over there someday, but the mountains on the west side of the Cascades keep me busy. It would be worth it to see this though.
