In general i like what you've done with this photo, but i find it awkward to have the dock vanish into the lower left hand corner. i always try to crop so that nothing terminates in any corner, as it has a tendency to unduly stress the composition.

I think it is a beautiful, inspired image with wonderful composition. If I had to make one criticism, it would be the mild banding caused by color depth artifacts. They probably don't show up on a 16-bit version. In any case, it is a beautiful image. Nicely done. Dan

An interesting experiment. It seems it's not enough anymore for you to create a composition of perfect tranquility and order, removed from the chaos of the world. Now, just as we are languidly floating on a sea of nirvana, you unsettle the world by intentionally introducing tension back into the composition. The subject is not central here; there is nothing at the core. Or rather, nothingness. That which is phenominal, as peaceful as it might be, is perephiral and still belongs to the world of illusion.
