Awesome! I love the story. I think the blue adds to the mystery. Really lovely...ethereal and powerful.

I like the depth of the image and the lines leading into it. You've got a pretty dramatic sky and the color tone is good.

Great work!

Wonderful mood in this one Alf. Also your background story adds a lot. Love those dark blue tones that you have chosen as a sort of theme for your image, Very nice. This must be a heaven for you and your camera to come out to and let the creativity explode. Take good care my dear friend and all the best to you and your family from Jannica. Have a Happy Easter!

It was a great location, with wonderful potential, the weather was terrible though, and we didn't have long between the squally rain to take full advantage, the weather did create those moody clouds though. but I will return to this place in the future. Thank you for kind words Jannica, much appreciated. Have a great Easter!

Kind Regards

Love the blue and the sense of infinity. You should sell this to Apple and Microsoft for their next standard desktop background.

I'm overwhelmed by these stunning textures and shapes and lines (the petrified peat / brown coal partsversus the horizon and the cloudy sky) as well as the awesome contrasts of them. Moreover, everything is immersed into this atmosphere of blueish lights / tones. Great perspective plus wide angle, superb balance of proportions of image elements. Great background info and title as well. Very creative and aesthetic work. A remarkable landscape photo. Bravo.

This was one of those rainy misty evenings, there was so much moisture in the air it was difficult to take the lens cap off without inviting drops onto the lens. It finally stopped raining when it was near dark and we managed to get a few shots. I have been back a few times since, but never managed to see the sunken forest again. I'm really pleased you liked this one Volker and thank you sincerely for your positive feedback.

Best Regards

Alf
