An old Conn "C-melody" sax sits ready for the next set. Thanks for

looking, I welcome your critiques and/or ratings.

It's eye catching and beautiful... not to mention that brings up some "old" memories.

In my opinion the light on the sax is a bit too harsh (but i am no expert).

Keep it up Tim. Cheers.

Thanks Crissu, I appreciate that the highlights are blown out. That was actually a conscoius decision made at the time of exposure. Stage lights are harsh and I was attempting to mimic that look with studio monolights. Deeper than that though is the thought that while a jazz club may feel cozy and inviting for the audience, there can be a good bit of anxiety for the performer. I tried to present some tension between the warmth and softness of the wood floor and the glare off the sax.

Then you were quite right about that. (my bad). After explaining it came clear. I first saw it as it was after the performance, resting but. Good work. Cheers again.

I recognized the sax immediately .. I play one like it! After reading the other comments I was surprised this was a "cameo" My impression was more portrait or set shot. Precarious position to leave your sax.. ask me how I know! In any case technically I love the ambiance and though the highlights (typically glare) might be harsh it's normal in this lighting and like you said it was a conscious decision.
