USS Valcour AGF-1, 40 years ago

New Epson V500 scanner, just a test with a negative from my Navy days.

Taken in Bahrain in 1970 of the ship I was stationed on, the USS Valcour,

AGF-1, flagship of the Middle East Force at that time. Long since

scrapped.

Nothing done to scan other than unsharp masking, resize and conversion

to JPEG from the initial TIFF scan.

I'm impressed with the scanner but would love to see a larger example. I've wanted to scan all my old film for years but just can't decide which scanner to use. BTW, I was at NavComSta Greece from '71 to '74... Mike
