Fantastic composure! Great effect by using a long shutter speed as well. The colors are amazing too. Was a filter used? Editing perhaps? No matter what, this is still an incredible work of art.

Eric, no filter was used - this was shot with a naked lens, tripod, 30s exposure at f/22, focused at the hyperfocal distance.

 

I added sharpening (a little motion - the surf coming in caused the tripod to shift very slightly before the exposure was completed), and I added a little upwards-gradient along the bottom edge of the shot - just to lend some gravity to the image.

I think that this is one of the your best photos on the net. I like a lot the composition, colour and atmosphere, perhaps the horizon isn't straight... barrel effect and little down at right.
