It really speaks to my romantic side. I like the composition, its strong. The nightime lighting makes the scene "emotive" It has it's own storyline.

Full of interesting and ghostly detail. Paths are great for leading the eye and I like that the eye is lead gently down the hill to empty darkness. I am very fond of the dampness I can visibly smell on the suraface of the path. I have my doubts though about the usefulness of the empty darkness that is the side of the hut or whatever that lives by the wall on the left hand side. It competes with what I know to be the true journey's end. Sometimes I crash in to it. I like the wind blurred leaves on the right and how the street lamps illuminate them. So too the lit and shaded sides of the wall and fence panelling that side. But that ilumination doesn't seem to be as attractive with the tallest tree's wind blurred foliage. May be it's something to do with the way the lit line of blurring meets the hard dark edge of the sky. All in I like your picture plenty. The detail and dampness especially.

The most powerful aspect of this photo is that it pulls me into it and stimulates my senses as I look at it. In agreement with Phil, I can visually sense the smell and the dampness. The blurred leaves add a sense of life to it as well. However, they don't really look natural to me. If I had to choose, I would leave them in, as they add life to the photo. But just feels like the effect was created in photoshop. Perhaps the original adds detail and size that would change this for me.

Overall, nice photo. It truly is an "experience" that I've enjoyed. I wish we had access to a larger version to really see the details and experience your photo more completely. Some photos just don't hold up as well when they are shrunk and compressed to work on the internet. This seems like one of them.

I'm walking home late at night and it's oddly still. The only sound is my footsteps echoing off the stone bridge. Suddenly . . .

Wonderfully moody shot. I like the way you've positioned the path in the frame and the line of the lights draws my eye in. Very well donw.

Absolutely beautiful. Dramatic, yet calm. Suggestive. I love it. It's exactly the kind of thing I've been trying (not terribly successfully) to capture in my night shots.
