brian_peterson3 0 Posted February 16, 2003 This photo is pretty neat! I want to know how you did it? I live in Minnesota where ice fishing is as common as open water fishing. Was this photographed with a fisheye (pun intended)? E-mail me if you wish, I would love to obtain a print. Link to comment
hayward 0 Posted February 16, 2003 Really good. My guess is that you photographed the reflection of the water. Is that right? Link to comment
Wayne Melia 6,045 Posted February 17, 2003 The angle is cool The 1800X1200 pixel size of the image is offensive. This is not brain surgery or rocket scienceImage size guidelines are specifically laid out in the FAQ, and have been forever. Why do you have and choose to flaunt your contempt for these guidelines? If you are thumbing your nose at the photonet community to prove you can, nobody's impressed. If you are expressing some dissatisfaction with photonet, just go away if you don't like it. The unusual perspective here is wonderfull, I think. It is complemented with good composition, exposure, and colour. The auger is a great visual element for depth and contextMy wild guess for technique is the camera was down the hole and operated by either self timer or remote control (perhaps in his/your right hand?). If the hole was not all the way thru the ice, this would not be too risky. Link to comment
tara_gregg 0 Posted February 17, 2003 Very cool! I just uploaded my first photograph today and I also made mine too big. Whoops I guess I'm going to get to scolding too. Anyways love it and would like to know how you did it. Link to comment
artofheadshots 0 Posted February 18, 2003 Its a great shot. I made the same mistake when I started using photo.net. Remember to bring down the size. Besides having a picture file size that big can be copywritten. It is to your advantage to decrease the size. Link to comment
